My Favorite Frightening Movie Moments

If there's anything musician and director Rob Zombie knows, it's horror movies. His latest film, Halloween – a re-imagining of the 1978 classic – was the highest grossing film to open on a Labor Day weekend and the biggest horror thriller opening of this year so far at $30.6 million. What can possibly spook him? Here are Zombie's five most memorably terrifying movie moments:
1. Frankenstein (1931):
When the monster first comes alive.
2. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974):
When Leatherface hits the guy in the head, slams the
metal door shut and puts the girl on the hook.
3. The
Exorcist (1973):
The first time Regan's eyes roll back in her
head. I remember watching that when I was really little,
with my brother. That scene came on and we were just
like, "Oh, sh**. Maybe we shouldn't watch this!"
4.
Halloween (1978):
When Laurie looks out the window, and Michael's
standing in the sheets blowing in the wind, and then
he disappears.
5. Night of the Living Dead (1968):
When Barbara's in the car driving away from
the cemetery, the zombie's trying to break the window
and he's so in your face. I was like, "Holy f***,
this movie's really going for it!"
